Unpredictable, fiery, tough…
A few words to describe ‘The Vanquish Ski race’ at the Oceanperf Challenge.
Evie Wong, Georgia Hawkins, Emily Corin and so many fantastic female ski paddlers, how much are they willing to risk for £150?
28-year-old Corin left out of the GBR team for youngsters Wong (19) and Hawkins (20), will surely want to prove critics wrong and come claim the £150.
The trio has taken female ski paddling in the UK to a new level, Aquasport International are helping push that limit.
Hawkins the reigning British champion, Corin 4th place at the World Championships, Wong 3rd place at Youth World Championships and French Rescue champion, the tension is rising.
One whistle, two footed jump starts, three buoys, before a run up the beach into finish.
No home grown British has beaten Piran Phillips on the ski in lifesaving over the past year, only ‘internationals’, such as former World Champion Dan Humble.
The Vanquish rocket Terry Miller will have his eyes set on Phillips, he will look to make his first big statement in the open age group.
Now masters but ever so hungry, George Haynes and Lewis Rosewell are always eyeing for spare cash to steal and deny clubmate Phillips the victory.
Unpredictable, fiery, tough…
