It’s a splash for cash at the Oceanperf Challenge for ‘The Vaikobi Surf race’.
A recent claim has been rumoured round that Thomas Trebilcock is unbeaten in a surf race domestically for the past four years!
He sang ‘God save the King’ at the World championships, winning the 4x50m obstacle relay with GBR, the Gyllyngvase clubbie has taken his talents to the pool and made himself into one of Britain’s best long-distance swimmers.
But do not count out the talent behind him, George Haynes is no stranger to a big stage and would love to take some cash home with him, similar young gun Kiran Gammon whose having impressive surf races.
Across to the girls, national standard swimmers have come through the ranks this year, Molly Roodhouse and Izzie Leigh making debuts for Great Britain lifesaving team.
Both have led the way and showed off their high performances at Branksome already this year at the GBR trials.
The youngies of the girls will have a lot to say in this race, Gylly’s Anya Hocking and Rest Bay’s duo of Eve Hickman and Abigail Davies will love to write their names into the senior’s books.
Vaikobi have donated over a whopping £2000 worth of kit towards the Oceanperf Challenge!
